what to know

what to bring
Most Artown events feature the best seating nature has to offer, so bring whatever you require to be comfortable in a low-profile way - a small blanket, a low-back chair (low-back chairs have legs no taller than 6” and backs no taller than shoulder height when seated), and a stadium cushion. We also ask that you be respectful of the people surrounding you, share your space, and allow room for others. And please maintain a clear pathway for aisles and walkways.

Note: If you leave your seating unoccupied for more than one hour, event organizers will remove it from the area. Learn more about our complete park rules and closure information.

what to wear
Ummm...it's July, it's July, it's July. Although being prepared with a light jacket or sweater is recommended.

who to bring
Friends and family and other loved ones - everyone's welcome at Artown! Remember to leave animal companions at home as pets are not allowed in the park during events.

where to park
Parking is easy in downtown Reno. The Parking Gallery Garage, located at Sierra and 1st Streets in downtown Reno, is available with validation from a number of downtown vendors as well as ample street parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Wingfield Park. Additional parking is available at the surface lot located at Court St. at S. Virginia and Sierra streets.

when to arrive
The park opens one-and-a-half hours prior to the start of the performance at Wingfield Park. The park closes for an hour before the opening time to prepare the park for the performances. Any items left in the park during that hour will be set aside by volunteers.

what to ingest
Food and beverage vendors will delight with their selection of goodies. Please remember there is no outside alcohol allowed in the park but there's plenty of options available from our vendors and surrounding restaurants in downtown Reno. Learn more!

how to behave
We want you to have a fabulous time and to come back next year, so please comply with the requests of security and police officers. If a problem arises, any Artown volunteer, security officer or staff member will be happy to help.

where to find lost and found and other necessities

how to make a graceful exit
Clean up after yourself. Please. We'll have plenty of recycling bins and trash cans at every event, so there's no reason to leave anything behind.
